Gloria Petyarre

Meeting Gloria Petyarre was very exciting for me, as for years I have admired her work and owned a few of her pieces that were always a talking point, when friends come over to my house. Her lively character took a while to warm towards me but after spending a few days she was laughing and joking, Gloria is a lot of fun to be around, she even taught me a few tips at the casino which is her second passion.

Walala Tjapaltjirri

Walala Tjapaltjirri can come across a bit scary at the beginning but he’s just a softy at heart, a very peaceful nature, man of very few words, you could feel the respect he has among the community, was such a pleasure to meet. Walala hums when he paints, i nearly fell asleep watching him, it was so calming. Going to his home where he lives and hearing his story was very inspiring.
